New Project: Wilkes Avenue Upgrade

In the busy heart of Artarmon, surrounded by quality residential and commercial spaces, Glascott Landscape and Civil are excited to be working on the Wilkes Avenue upgrade.

The project aims to activate and enhance the open space to create a new daily experience that fulfills the needs of the growing community.

Working closely with Willoughby City Council, the revitalisation and streetscape improvements include the installation of new street furniture and decorative lighting and construction of a raised pedestrian crossing on Elizabeth Street.

The Phillips Marler design includes modifications to raised planting beds, installation of decorative garden planting, brick-faced stepped retaining walls, and ceramic tiles inserted into existing paving.

Fulfilling the sustainability aspect, rain gardens will be constructed as part of the pedestrian crossing to recycle rainwater as a passive irrigation system to irrigate the proposed new garden beds within the new crossing.

The Glascott team will ensure a quality outcome is achieved in the space to anchor its identity in the suburb. We will work safely and efficiently to the specifications and design expectations to deliver this exciting public space upgrade for the Willoughby community.
