Greenlight to more open space at Ginninderry

We are delighted to continue our parentship with Riverview Group at Ginninderry, expanding on the open space in this beautiful community.

Parks, parks, and more parks

Our team is delivering three new parks which will provide significant active and passive recreation opportunities for the community.

  • Greenwedge Park was recently completed, with fitness equipment, footpaths, and open space with irrigated turf and remanent trees.
  • Hilltop Park includes ModuPlay and KOMPAN play equipment, various softscape elements, irrigation, and hardscapes including concrete pathways and gabion rock walls. There will also be a half basketball court.
  • Nature Play Park. Designed by Group GSA, as the name suggests, this park will be fitted out with natural elements including climbing ropes, tree logs, a bamboo tepee, and an Arbor tunnel. Rock boulders, crawl tunnels, and concrete pipes round out the elements with bamboo fencing to the surrounds.

These parks will be ready for the community by the end of October 2021.

Greening the streets

Over the coming months, Glascott will deliver three large streetscape packages at the community.

Comprising twelve habitat zones throughout the community, the first package includes biodiversity treatment for each specific zone to protect the existing remnant trees and local ecology.

These works are being carried out in conjunction with The Fenner School of Environment and Society at The Australian National University (ANU) research, which aims to understand how biodiversity treatment underneath remnant trees affects outcomes in protecting habitat zones.

Eight new public domain laneways are also underway, with soft landscaping finishes such as native grass and planting. And finally, two streetscape packages for Huon Contractors: Stage 2B2 and Stage 2B3 which include street verges complete with soft landscaping.

Our maintenance division, Glascott Landscape Management, will provide warranty maintenance on all of these projects. Our end-to-end services will ensure seamless management of important establishment periods to protects and nurtures these spaces for best outcomes.
