Winter Memorial Park was a medium sized Playground upgrade project for Redlands City Council entailing many elements significant to a playground project.
This project contained a high level of detail in the documentation. It was therefore imperative to ensure the park was constructed to a high standard with detailed and quality finishes, creating a beautiful community open space and passive and active recreational asset for the Capalaba community.
Commencing in May 2022, our team worked closely with the Redlands City Council project team to ensure that minimal to no damage was incurred to the existing surface finishes, roadways & tree root system throughout the demolition, earthworks and drainage footing stages. Glascott Landscape & Civil had Level 5 Arborists available to liaise and provide recommendations to Council, as required ensuring the works were completed safely and with minimal impact on the local environment.
Key Scope:
The project site is located on a busy arterial road so the traffic and pedestrian control implementation were of particular importance. The key deliverables consisted of the installation of Broom finished coloured & grey concrete pavements, Sandstone seating & retaining walls, Play & sports equipment, Rubber softfall & Synthetic Grass surfacing, Streetbond concrete line marking Proprietary Furniture and soft landscaping.
Our priority was to collaborate closely with the Redlands City Council to ensure the delivery and aesthetics of the project were to the expectation of all stakeholders. Construction was delivered to an exceptionally high standard, resulting in a high quality & beautiful play space asset for the local Capalaba community and for generations to enjoy.
