Googong is a large masterplan community in the Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional LGA comprising five connected neighbourhoods that will eventually house around 18,000 people. Glascott Landscape and Civil Canberra have worked at Googong since 2011 delivering a wide range of community assets including open space, parklands, playgrounds and streetscapes. The village oval is the centrepiece. The scope of works on this project included major earthworks and site preparation, construction of the oval and the amenities building. We also built an amphitheater, cricket practice nets, play equipment, shared pathways with street furniture, trees and gardens beds.
