Maintaining and enhancing Lachlan’s Line

Lachlan’s Line is situated between North Ryde and Macquarie Park stations, in Sydney’s North. The former industrial site is being transformed into an accessible and connected public precinct with residential and retail space.

The development hosts over 18,000m2 of public open space including a central park with an all-abilities playground, a learn-to-skate park, pocket parks, and regenerated bushland.

Marsupial Landscape Management are contracted by Landcom to manage the landscapes and provide small scale construction. Our regular program includes maintaining the garden beds, turf areas, playground, and hardstand areas. We also manage the riparian bushland and provide pest and disease control services.

Prior to commencement, we developed a detailed understanding of the asset requirements. Site reports were tailored to provide complete transparency and proof that works are being delivered to Landcom’s expectations and in accordance with Council regulations. The reports include recommendations for seasonal planting, enhancements and whole-of-life management.

Our Projects Team recently upgraded the irrigation system. They are currently installing approximately 20 trees and 3,000 shrubs, and 60m3 mulch to the garden beds. The work will be completed by the end of November, before the new residents move into the community.

Our next project will be to extend the irrigation system to the revegetation zone while we continue regular maintenance and site establishment.

Marsupial are working closely with Landcom to ensure the desired outcomes are delivered for the Lachlan’s Line community.
