Landscaping that anchors the identity of Constitution Place

In the busy centre of Canberra, Glascott Landscape and Civil are thrilled to have helped deliver Constitution Place – a project inspired by Walter Burley Griffin’s 1912 design for Canberra.

Constitution Place comprises a landmark 12-storey building with a 130-room hotel and offices, a five-storey ACT Government office block, basement public car park, and a distinctive retail laneway between the two buildings, connecting Constitution Avenue with the Canberra Theatre.

Glascott provided landscaping that complements the high-end architecturally design hotel and office complex delivered by Construction Control.

Worked closely with Construction Control, our team delivered works to the surrounding underground car park, ground floor restaurant and cafes, and open space areas and pedestrian areas, balancing the built and natural environments.

The scope of works included underground strata vault tree pits, expansive raised turf areas, multiple elevated garden beds, substantial garden planting, and an automatic irrigation system to the building assets and public open space areas.

The luxurious and expansive open space designed by Redbox Design Group provides the opportunity for hotel patrons and office occupants to enjoy 12-hour of sunlight, with the interconnecting pedestrian areas that flow consistently throughout the space making it accessible and easy for the public to enjoy.

Glascott is pleased to have reached a quality outcome that has anchored the identity in this renewed precinct.
