St David Avenue Park is located in the heart of Dee Why surrounded by busy roads, shops, buildings, and the bustling main bus stop. The new park was designed to create a unique pocket park destination in an effort to provide a safe and modern passive recreational space.
The upgrade saw the demolition of the existing park, which was outdated and ineffective, and reinstatement of a new public space to better accommodate the large volume of patrons accessing the busy B-Line transport corridor.
Glascott Landscape and Civil provided further value to the project by assisting with the sandstone wall design challenges; greater pedestrian & vehicular management interfacing with the busy intersection & bus stop; and the redesign of conflicting services within the proposed landscape design, including stormwater.
