The Lendlease CPB Joint Venture engaged Glascott Landscape and Civil to help construct the new Clayton Road linear park – part of the award-winning Level Crossing Removal Project which aimed to improve congestion and safety and increase open space.
Designed by ASPECT Studio, the entire landscape project included parks, sports and exercise facilities, playgrounds, and 17-kilometres of walking and cycling pathways occupying the space underneath the new elevated sections along the Cranbourne-Pakenham rail line.
Glascott constructed the sports courts, skate parks, a playground and an outdoor gym at Clayton Road, working concurrently across all components.
The scope of work required complex structural concreting, variable coloured finishes, exposed aggregate concrete surfaces and installation of street furniture, a playground and sports equipment.
Safety and efficiency were key given the location and scale of the project. The new park has provided the community with additional public space for active and passive recreation.
Showcasing our capability on large infrastructure projects, Glascott’s Sydney office also completed the Sydney Metro Northwest earlier this year. We installed over one million plants, shrubs, and trees across 8 rail stations and 3 stabling yards across 7 kilometres new rail corridor. The project was delivered by the NSW State Government ahead of program and under budget.
